New Community Leader for L'Arche Calgary

Posted 2021-11-29

We are very happy to announce that the Board of Directors of L’Arche Calgary has appointed Ani Hynes as the new Community Leader/Executive Director for the next 4 years.

Ani has been a member of L’Arche Calgary for the past 19 years and currently holds the role of Director of Assistants and Formation, which she has carried for 9 years. Ani began her L’Arche journey as an assistant at the L’Atre Community in Lille, France in 2002.

Ani is deeply committed to L’Arche, its Mission and its core values; we believe she is the right person to lead the community forward at this time. We are grateful for her “yes” and are committed to support her and the community during this time of transition.

Ani is honoured and delighted by this new opportunity in her L’Arche journey. Planning for the transition of leadership is in process and we are grateful to John Eng, who will continue as the Interim Community Leader/Executive Director until Ani is available to step into her role as the new Community Leader/Executive Director.

Thank you for your continued prayers as this new chapter in the life of L’Arche Calgary unfolds,

Mike Doty, Board President
Linda Filjak, Vice Regional Leader
